Canoeing, mud slides, gunge pools, crate building, face painting, inflatable slides, quad bikes, and a rodeo bull are just some of the activities that will be happening at this year’s Playday at the Kay Park, Kilmarnock on Wednesday 1 August from 11am – 3pm.  Last year’s event attracted 7000 people, making it one of the UK’s busiest events and the best thing of all is that all activities are FREE!

East Ayrshire Council’s Leisure Development Services EA Positive Play team in Partnership with East Ayrshire Community Play Forum are inviting families throughout East Ayrshire and beyond to this year’s 5th annual event to help make Playday 2012 the biggest yet!  Activities take place no matter the weather so please bring appropriate clothing and if you want a shot on the mud slide then a change of clothes and a towel is recommended.  SHOUT cardholders will receive a free mystery gift if they remember to bring their card with them on the day.

Playday is a national event and celebrates the child’s right to play as enshrined in the UN Convention…Remember - It’s Fun, it’s Fabulous and it’s Free.
